University of Manitoba Website System Maintenance

Exchange Email Update, and System Change.

On April 24th and 25th there will be two changes made to the Exchange Email system.
The first change is effective 8pm Wednesday April 24th, all users will have a primary email address of firstname.lastname@umanitoba.ca. Throughout the day on April 25th various university systems, including EPIC and UofM Mailman lists, will be updated to reflect the new first.last@umanitoba.ca email addresses.
Any current email addresses including firstname.lastname@ad.umanitoba.ca will continue to function. There are no plans to deactivate any existing email addresses.
The second change will happen to the Outlook Web Access (OWA) login page on Thursday April 25th.

Telephone System Outage

Information Services & Technology would like to inform users of a planned telephone system outage.

The Telephone System (Interactive Intelligence) used by Human Resources and the IST Help and Solutions Centre will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 17 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM .

Callers will not hear the automated menu and will not be able to leave voicemail messages during the outage.

Netware System Maintenance

Please be advised that Information Services and Technology will be performing volume maintenance on the
Corporate Netware System (CNS) on Sunday, April 21st between 1:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.

During the maintenance window users may experience a slight interruption while accessing data on the network drives such as your H: drive.

*Update* Desire2Learn System Maintenance

The D2L April maintenance window is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, between 12:00am and 6:00am CT to resolve a critical issue.

Please be advised that Desire2Learn (D2L) won’t be available during a 30 minute period between 1:30am and 2:30 am.

We recognize the impact this outage may have on your access to D2L during the exam period and have worked with D2L Support to reduce the outage period to a smaller window of time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
